MPCA Bulletin Board…

VMSThe Visitor Management System (VMS) allows visitors to enter the community without calling the guard gate. Residents log into their HOA account and choose the VMS/TEK link. The VMS portal will load, and the resident will be directed to the TEK Control page. Family members can be added to the permanent “guest ” list, and a contractor or other temporary visitor, can also be added. Residents can edit their lists at any time to adjust dates/times, or or create an event, such as a birthday party, etc. After the resident has entered the information onto the visitor list, they can send an e-pass – QR code – to the visitor’s mobile number. The QR code can be shown to the guard at the front or scanned at the kiosk at the back gate. The resident can choose to be notified when the visitor has scanned the QR code allowing them entry.
Front Gate AccessFor front gate access, MPCA contracts with a professional security company (Securitas) to manage and monitor visitor and commercial/vendor traffic. The front gate is staffed 24/7/365 and can be contacted at 904-284-6813. Gate security staff is only responsible for gate access control activities. They do not patrol the community and cannot respond to emergency calls. If you observe trespassing, unwanted soliciting, illegal or other inappropriate activity, call the Green Cove Springs Police Department at
904-529-2220. For all emergencies, call 911.
Back Gate AccessThe back gate on Medinah is for residents with clickers and guests using a QR code. It is not manned. In order for visitors to enter, a resident must use the VMS link to enter their guest’s information and send a QR code to the guest’s cell phone. A resident can choose to have notifications sent when the guest is at the back gate and has entered using the QR code. Any vehicle can exit using the back gate – simply pull up to the gate arm and stop; the arm will raise and the gates will open, allowing egress.Home ImprovementsWith summer approaching, many residents think about making improvements to their home, be it painting the exterior or replacing the roof, installing a pool, replacing a driveway or upgrading the landscaping. The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) must approve all of these changes. A resident submits the required form – found under the Forms tab on the website – to the Committee. Once the Committee reviews the form, they will contact the resident to proceed or answer further questions.Building PermitsBuilding permits are required so the jurisdiction can perform inspections to verify that adopted codes are followed. If you are unsure whether you need a building permit, please call 904-297-7050 or email [email protected] to verify.
Building codes establish minimum requirements to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare through structural strength, means of egress facilities, stability, sanitation, adequate light and ventilation, energy conservation, and safety to life and property from fire and other hazards attributed to fire fighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.
